He found his calling in a love of the scriptures. He enrolled in Va. Union University (1977), to audit theology classes, would later befriend Archbishop Dennis Myles Golphin, who would establish a mentoring relationship with Bis. David, leading him into traditions outside his Evangelical/Pentecostal foundations. He was now exposed to traditions such as the Reformed and Anglican. Orthodox and Abyssinian streams, He expanded his theological view to rest on Convergence Theology, finally.
Having completed his undergraduate courses 2018 at the Metropolitan Christian University, he is now a graduate with an M.Div. and STM degree. Will Cain and is a coveted assembly of venerable brothers who challenge each other in character, academics, and service in the ancient faith of the church.
On November 18th, 2023, following the anniversary of his first episcopal year of service, H.H. Pontiff Corey Alexander Jenkins, D.C.L., OSSC, Archbishop+++, and Patriarch, appointed Bishop Davis as Abbot of the Extraterritorial Chapter of the Holy Order of Saint Simon of Cyrene, for the Diocese of the Mid-Eastern States, and sanctioned him to the role of Bishop-Protector of this religious order.
